Sediment Loveseat

CAMP Gallery | Miami, Florida

Sediment Loveseat was exhibited at the CAMP Gallery. Opening was on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, 6-9. Using second-hand jeans to represent the immigration and the settling process. The layers of jeans symbolize the layers of generations that have settled in new lands. Sediment Loveseat represents the hopeful outcome of generations that have settled and prospered in new lands along with the grim reality of souls that have settled in the depths of the oceans never reaching dry land. These jeans have been woven as the upholstery.

Part of the group exhibit “Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse: A Room of Our Own” at the CAMP Gallery located at 791 NE 125 St., Miami, FL.
